Mobile Phone Recycling

Mobile Phones Wanted Dead or Alive

Did You Know? Just 4% of mobile phones are recycled in the UK ??

In plain terms millions of old, broken unwanted and unloved mobile phones are laying in cupboards and drawers gathering dust across the UK.

Such a waste when they CAN be put to good use !!!!

This is an appeal with a difference. A unique offer from Mercedes and Dixons. Will convert mobile phones into new vehicles. Just 2000 phones = One new Mercedes Sprinter Van which help us to help Children and Schools in disadvantaged countries.

Imagine living in a climate of -20C, and trying to get around with no shoes and limited clothing. Think of how it might feel to be so cold and also the pain, intense pain that comes from being exposed to such temperatures. That is how it is for some. Remember Chernobyl, the legacy lives on but even basic resources for schools and children remain scarce.

We need your help to change this situation. Phones for Vans will enable us to transport resources and volunteers to places of need. Daily we receive support requests Worldwide by the bucket load. Now an opportunity has arisen to tackle some of those requests, with your help.

2000 mobile phones or the equivalent of £30,000 are needed for the next modified vehicle.

Dead or Alive we can use it, Chargers, headsets, send them in….

Our thanks go to ScottishPower, NHS Nurses Direct, NEC Computers Ltd, Dobcroft Junior School - Sheffield, Hailsham Community College, Sussex Police authority, Stafford and Lewes Prison's, Hampshire Ambulance Service, Westminster Chapel, Hastings Fire services for collecting phones. We need more…

Interested !!! Can you help. Extend the net and become a collecting point in your school, office or church. Posters and collecting boxes available. Give us a call !!!

Drop off points include: Esporta - Crawley. M D Furnishers - SE26 5DQ. Data Developments - Wolverhampton Science Park. All Nations Church - Clapham Park. Perfect Nights - Eastbourne. Pathway Books - Hastings. Southpoint Electrical stores - Crowborough, Mayfield. Uckfield Volunteer bureau, Cartridge World - Eastbourne. CO-OP - Heathfield and also Dublin and Brittany.

More collecting points are needed country wide, can you help. Shops, Schools, Churches, Offices, Clubs.
