Recycling services
In line with WEEE and associated legislation Recycling for Charities offers a range of services for Companies, Schools, Hospitals, Local Authorities and Voluntary organisations.
All items received are fully audited and sorted in respect of reuse or recycling categories. IT equipment suited for reuse is accommodated by our Authorised Microsoft refurbisher, sister organisation “Computers for Charities”
Whilst other companies or organisations may well compromise on service and standards, RfC maintains a commitment to environmental and professional practice and disposal processes undertaken within the UK of all equipment.
Safeguards:
Computers for Charities, undertakes the following processes to protect suppliers from potential data fraud and liability.
- Approved data removal of hard drives
- Assumes Legal liability of donated equipment
- Audit trails available for reporting
- Certificates of disposal and data removal available when required
Collection services: Countrywide for viable quantities, home or single items are not practical at this time.
Costs
Costs are applicable for collections and delivered items, discounts for delivered items.

IT recycling:
Recycling for Charities is promoting the development of regional IT recycling centres. Providing fresh opportunities for employment and training.
London Boroughs have saved £500,000, One NHS trust £100,000 through this program. Recycling for Charities welcomes additional sponsor support to aid further development.
